Free Credit Cards: Are they really free?
Free credit cards are becoming more and more popular in UK because consumers do not need to pay interest on purchase. It is also known as, 0% APR credit cards. Few years back, APR was constant for all types of plastic money and banks. People had to pay huge charges for every purchase and very high interest rate on every miss or late payments. Competition plays very important role in every market and finance market is not exception.
Now, numbers of banks and financial institutions have come into existence. There is massive competition in financial market of UK. Lenders are offering free credit cards and they are not ready to loose even a single client. Consumers are getting more and more benefits because of competition. Now consumers do not pay any interest or extra charges for late payments.
Card holders can transfer the balance from card without paying a single penny as a interest. Free credit cards do no include any annual fees too. But consumers have to be very careful while selecting these cards because many lenders do not charge annual fees for first year and then they start charging fees and interest rate.

When I was in college, I always thought credit cards were “free”. I was a bit angry at myself when I would see the monthly bills and high balances owed. I hope people take this information seriously. Thanks for the great blog post.
