How to eradicate a charge off?
A charge off is a very negative sign in a credit report. It happens when an account becomes antisocial for 6 months or longer. The creditor then reports the account to the credit bureaus as a charge off and then it will cause the credit score to drop. When an account becomes 6 months delinquent and the reports charge off, then the lender sells the loan to a collection agency. This agency tries to recover the payment from you for this debt. If they are unsuccessful then they will report your account negatively to the credit bureaus and sell your debt to another agency.
In order to remove a charge off, you must do a heated discussion about the negative listings with the credit bureau. Congress has passed legislation which says that the credit bureaus must examine a disputed listing for its accuracy and legitimacy.
